Frequently asked questions

Quick answers before you go.

What is Tuscany Trail 365?
The Tuscany Trail's Tuscany, all year round — verified routes, bike-friendly stays and official territories, curated by the team behind the Tuscany Trail.
What is the Tuscany Trail?
The world's largest bikepacking event — thousands of riders crossing Tuscany on white roads every spring, starting and finishing in Campiglia Marittima. Tuscany Trail 365 brings the same roads, knowledge and verified places to anyone, on any day of the year.
I'm riding the Tuscany Trail — where do I book my first night?
Right from the booking map at the top of the home page — it's centred on the Fiere di Venturina, where the Trail rolls out. Book early: on the start weekend the whole village fills up with riders.
When is the best time to come?
Spring and early autumn are usually the sweet spot — mild weather, fewer crowds and great riding conditions. Summer is ideal for coastal stays, while winter works well for shorter, quieter loops.
Are routes suitable for beginners or e-bikes?
Yes. Every route card shows distance, climbing, surface and difficulty, from flat coastal spins to demanding gravel days. The hardest loops are marked as e-bike recommended — on an e-bike they become beautiful rides.
How do I get a route and its GPX?
Everything is on the route page, free to study — the map, the elevation profile, water and food stops along the way. When you want to take it with you, leave your email and the GPX file downloads instantly, ready for your bike computer.
Do I need a guide?
No. Every route is designed to be ridden self-supported, with the practical details already on the page. Local guides, rentals and shuttles are available in most areas if you want a more tailored experience.
How do I book a stay?
Official Bike-Friendly Stays are booked directly through the property's website, from their page or from any of their routes. On territory pages and on the home you'll find a live booking map with every stay in the area.
What's the difference between a territory and a stay?
A territory is an official riding destination — a borough with its verified routes, sights and booking map. A stay is a verified accommodation base whose routes start right from its door.
