Best season

April–May and September–October are the sweet spot. Mild Mediterranean climate — rideable virtually year-round, with sea breeze taking the edge off summer.

Bike & surface

43% unpaved mixing hardpack, loose sections and occasional technical passages. 40–45 mm tyres and a wide-range cassette recommended.

Water points in Castiglione della Pescaia and Tirli. Cafe and bakery on route; in Tirli you'll find bar, grocery and restaurant.
