Spring and autumn for mild temperatures and fewer crowds. The hills give welcome shade in summer.
All asphalt on secondary roads, 26–28 mm tyres recommended. Rolling terrain at an easy, steady pace.
Water points in Suvereto, Sassetta, Monteverdi, Canneto and San Lorenzo. Bars, restaurants and food shops in every village along the way.
