Good to know

Everything from the Ride Base Pack, right here on the page.

Verified on the ground

Ridden and checked by our team in February 2026 — classified Gravel Hard, E-bike Easy. The route passes right by the geothermal plants and the Biancane fumaroles.

Bike & surface

Steep gradients both uphill and downhill, with a 12% descent on a short stretch. No technical difficulties, but not for beginners on a gravel bike. On an e-bike it's an easy ride.

Best season

April–May and September–October. The steam of the fumaroles is at its most theatrical on crisp mornings.

Don't miss

The Biancane park at sunset for an otherworldly experience, and the MUBIA geothermal museum in the village.
