Good to know

Everything from the Ride Base Pack, right here on the page.

Best season

April–May and September–October. On the hills the chestnut forests keep the air crisp even in warm months.

Bike & surface

Gravel with significant gradients for most of the route — 13.7% climbing and a 15.5% descent on short stretches. Not for beginners on a gravel bike; on an e-bike it becomes a beautiful ride.

Water & resupply

Fill your bottles and pockets in Monterotondo before rolling out — the ridges are wild and services along the way are scarce.

Don't miss

The castle ruins of Rocchette Pannocchieschi, and the glimpses of the sea on the horizon from the high sections.

Ride at your own pace
